Drunk man tries to rape Filipina behind truck in Dubai

A Filipina working in Dubai accused a 24-year-old Pakistani man of attempted rape. The case is now before the Court of First Instance, reported Khaleej Times.

The public prosecution documents stated that the man, who was drunk at that time, was sitting next to the Filipina at a bus stop at 10:30 PM when he suddenly grabbed and dragged her behind a heavy truck parked by the side of the road and tried to rape her.

Four men arrived at the incident and stopped the man from raping the Filipina.

The Pakistani man, who works as a construction worker, denied the rape charges and consumption of alcohol without a license when he appeared before the Court.

He also claimed that he cannot remember what happened at that time.

The Filipina, who is a 33-year-old accountant, said that she noticed the guy was staring at him awkwardly and moved a bit away from him. However, he moved closer until he grabbed her.

“He came closer again when I stood up. I told him to stay away or I would call the police but he did not pay heed. I got scared and picked up a stick with which I hit him on his hand twice but he snatched it and threw it away,” she said.

The Filipina also said that she can’t easily escape at that time because he grabbed her by the hand and lifted her

“I bit his hand when he tried to cover my mouth. He then threw me down and I fell on my knee. He tried to remove my shirt but I would not let him and kept screaming,” she said.

The victim got knee injury and foot bruises after the attack, the medical report has shown.
