Fog Alert: UAE residents warned of poor visibility during Eid’l Adha holidays

The National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) warned residents and expats in the UAE of fog formations during the Eid Al Adha holidays.

The weather bureau advised commuters and drivers to be cautious on the road due to fog formations around the country which will cause poor visibility of less than 1000 meters.

Fog alerts have been raised over major roads including Mafraq-Ghweifat International Highway and the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway.

Be careful if you are planning to catch a flight during this holiday season as fog formations were reported over Abu Dhabi airport, Ras al-Khaimah airport, and Al Maktoum International Airport, NCMS announced on Friday.

Friday weather in the UAE will be hot in general during daytime but hazy and partly cloudy at times.

Clouds are expected to form over some eastern areas of the country.

“Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times during afternoon causing blowing dust over some exposed areas,” the weather bureau added.
