Dubai residents can soon get Emirates ID in 2-3 days

Dubai locals and expats, including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), may soon obtain their Emirates ID within two to three days.

The Government Accelerators (GA) aims to trim the the 10-day processing period of Emirates ID by 75 percent as part of efforts to cut down time needed to obtain official documents, including passports and family books.        

The faster processing of documents capitalizes on streamlined interconnection and provision of data and documents exchange between government entities.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched GA in a bid to lift the public’s level of satisfaction on government services.

“Government Accelerators are tools to achieve our goal of raising government efficiency and delivering services to the public more speedily. Our aim is to integrate this system into all aspects of government services,” the Vice President previously said.

The Government Accelerators provide services that includes joint work groups of government, private and academic sector staff. These include linkages to sector expertise, knowledge-sharing series, facilitate team meetings, communication, monitoring and reporting, and logistics and IT support.
