The temperature across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will feel even hotter in the next couple of days, said the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) in Abu Dhabi.
The weather bureau announced that the level of humidity will rise up to 97 percent until Wednesday, raising the apparent temperature in the UAE.
Humidity refers to that muggy, steam-room feeling you experience on certain summer days.
UAE residents will experience “hot to very hot weather in general”, NCMS said in its daily weather forecast.
The humidity is said to gradually increase during the month and will contribute to the increase in the feeling of heat especially at night.
The temperature will reach up to 49 degrees Celsius in internal areas and 43 degrees Celsius in coastal areas.
