Pinoy quits DOTA, tops dentist licensure exam thanks to his girlfriend

Mickhail Quebec Francisco from Centro Escolar University wasnamed the topnotcher of the 2016 dentistry licensure examination thanks to his girlfriend who pushed him to his limits, and away from playing DOTA.

The 23-year Francisco was in awe upon finding out that he bested hundreds of examinees from some of the best dentistry schools in the country. He got an average score of 85.30 in the examination.

Francisco admitted that during his first two years as a student, he was not very serious with his studies. He said: “Hindi ako seryososa studies ko. Pacutting cutting ganun. Tapos late papasok ganyan. Mabarkada kasi ako. Hilig ko rin mag laro ng dota.”

Bu then, the love of his life came along and inspired him to be a better student and a better person. “After komakilala yung girlfriend ko, siya talaga yung nag push sa akin sa limits ko. She always wanted me kasi to be the best, siya talaga yung pinaka nag inspire sa akin.”

He added:“Siya yung tao na nagtitiwala sa kakayahan ko. Mas may tiwala pa ata siya sa’kin kaysa sa tiwala ko sasarili ko lalo na nitong malapit na yung board exam. Sobrang pinu-push niya ako and I’m very thankful na nandyan siya,” he was quoted to have said on the Manila Bulletin.

Francisco also gives credit to his family who was in full support when he was reviewing for the exam.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 356 out of 359 passed the practical phase of the licensure exam in June.

Meanwhile, 329 out of 734 examinees passed the written phase of the same licensure examination.
