WATCH: Burj Khalifa’s record-breaking laser light show

When the clock struck 12 midnight, Burj Khalifa rang in 2018 with an approximately 7-minute show of vivid laser lights synchronized with integrated music in the ‘Light Up 2018’ event of the world’s tallest building.

Around 1.5 million people have thronged the area, about the size of 20 football fields (109,252 sq meters), making Burj Khalifa the Guinness World record title holder for the ‘largest laser light on a single building.’

Burj Khalifa has beaten Hong Kong’s record over an area of 46,641.52 sq metres on the ICC building in 2013.

The impressive spectacle began with a display image of the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as they marked 2018 as the ‘Year of Zaled.’

The massive LED light also burst colors to the symbols of the nation – the UAE flag, the Falcon in flight, and the Arabic language while visuals, music, live deejays, acrobatic performances, and water performances at the Dubai Fountain kept the spectators even more delighted and entertained.
