Diego Loyzaga says sorry after private video circulated online

In an interview with Boy Abunda on Tuesday night, actor Diego Loyzaga explained the story behind the one-second video of him naked that circulated online over the weekend.

“It is a Swedish and Finnish culture that you go into the hot tub in the middle of the night butt naked. This is after you had dinner,” he explained.

He said that the video was taken by accident before he stepped in a jacuzzi naked – a tradition that Swedish people do in the winter.

Loyzaga also said that he was shy about getting naked in the Jacuzzi during his first two nights because it was something that Filipinos don’t do in the Philippines.

“Pero nasa Europe tayo eh… Susunod ka sa gawain nila. After mga two or three nights, you know what, ‘Let’s do this.’ I even [recorded] it pero para sa blog ko na ‘yun,” he added.

The actor also apologized for what happened especially that many of his fans and online followers are young girls.

“It was an accident. I am sorry.

“Gusto kong mag-sorry sa lahat ng nabastos. I know that I have followers who are young,” he said.

He also clarified that he mistakenly pressed the post button instead of the delete button because his hands were freezing from the cold weather.

Loyzaga said that he only realized that it was accidentally posted on his Instagram story when one of his friends sent a message to him.

“Someone messaged me, ‘Bro, why’d you post that?’ and I was like, ‘Ano yon?’,” he said.

“I deleted it right away pero of course there were some who already took screenshots of it,” he added.
