Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte’s daughter Isabelle celebrates her coming of age, and in preparation, she took a squad of in-demand couture and make-up stylists for her debutante photoshoot inside Malacanang Palace.
Donning an intricate cranberry red gown designed by a Dubai-based Pinoy designer Garimon Roferos, Isabelle turned the Philippines’ seat of power into a real palace last Thursday.
The President’s first granddaughter is expected to have a grand celebration on her birthday, January 19.
According to Roferos, the gown he had created for Isabelle was hand embroidered and adorned with dark red Swarovski crystals.
The Pinoy designer is currently making waves in the United Arab Emirates.
This year, he was awarded as “the most promising designer” by The Filipino Times Awards.
Isabelle is Paolo’s first child with his ex-wife Lovelie Sangkola Sumera.
She has entered the show business and is currently being managed by Annabelle Rama.
Aside from the stunning gown designed by Roferos for the photoshoot, she was also photographed wearing a dainty Rosenthal Tee gown, which Kapuso star Carla Abellana also donned during the 2017 Miss World Philippines coronation night.
Meanwhile, question on whether the presidential seal can be a backdrop of her pre-debut pictorial also cropped up after her photos went viral on social media.
“There is nothing wrong if the President’s grandchild poses for pictures inside Malacañang,” presidential spokesman Harry Roque said.
He added the President has opted to stay at the guesthouse, Bahay Pagbabago, instead of the palace.
“The President is entitled by law to live in Malacañang but opted not to. So his relatives, especially his own (granddaughter), can have their photos taken in Malacañang,” Roque said.
