Fil-Am Kathrina Feigh exits The Voice

Filipino-American singer Kathrina Feigh is out of the competition in The Voice US Season 13.

She lost to country singer Keisha Renee during the knockout round where they each had a solo performance to win their way to the next stage of the competition.

Feigh sang Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire” with her powerful voice, and coaches were impressed.

Grammy Award winner Jennifer Hudson, Feigh’s former coach before she was stolen by country artist Blake Shelton, praised the Fil-Am’s performance.

“You set this place on fire,” Hudson said.

However, Renee’s moving rendition of country song “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack won the coaches over, resulting in her acceptance to the next round.

On her Instagram account, Feigh said she was still grateful she got to join the show and do what she loved.

“God is so good. My heart is so full of love and fire. I am so grateful for @nbcthevoice family for giving me the biggest and most incredible opportunity in the world!

“Truly blessed for being able to represent the Filipino community and every immigrant out there who dreams of The American Dream. I feel like I’ve already won.

“I hope to influence and inspire other artists that this could happen to them too. Never stop dreaming,” she said, and added that this was only the beginning in her journey as an artist.
