It’s Showtime host gets married on-air

Everyone loves a grand romantic gesture.

In an unexpected twist during It’s Showtime’s annual Magpasikat Week competition, Teddy Corpuz took his game up a notch and decided to surprise his wife, kids, the judge, and the audience by popping the big question to his wife Jasmine on-air yesterday, Oct 17.

After co-hosts Vice Ganda and Jugs Jugueta kicked off their team’s ‘performance’ with a song and a poem, Corpuz professed his love then bent down on one knee and asked “Will you marry me again?”

The wedding, aired on the show, is Corpuz and his wife’s second time to exchange “I do’s”

“Kaya kong ipangako sa’yo only one thing: I promise you that my heart and my eyes will always be fixed on you and on Christ,” Corpuz vowed.

Corpuz’s romantic gesture elicited a standing ovation and tears of joy from the judges, including director Rory Quintos, who called it “thematically brilliant,” ABS CBN reported.

It’s Showtime’s official facebook page posted a same-day edit of the wedding shortly after.
