WATCH: Pinay teen gets standing ovation on ‘X Factor Italia’

Aside from the success of three Filipino acts on ‘X Factor UK’, another Filipina is making waves on ‘X Factor Italy’, impressing not only with her vocal range but also with her rap skills.

Camilla Cabaltera wowed the crowd with her performance, earning her a standing ovation from the audience and four si (yes in Italian) from the judges on Thursday, September 14.

Cabaltera, 17, performed her original song “Worth It”, filling the stage with her powerful voice while playing the piano. The audience and judges got even more excited when the Filipina teen started to rap.

Italian singer-songwriter told her, “You do not have the X Factor. You have all the letters of the alphabet! All of them! From A to Z”.

Afterhours lead singer, Manuel Agnelli, said, “I’m impressed how young she is, how much she can improve.”

Cabaltera was born in Manila but moved to Montecatini Terme in Tuscany with her family in 2010. She studied at the Accademia della voce Associazione culturale.

In 2012, she participated in “Ti Lascio Una Canzone, an Italian musical variety show, which pairs students from Italy’s prestigious music schools with professional singers.
