Model and student Glenn Aeela Krishnan followed the footsteps of her beauty queen look-alike, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, by joining the Miss Manila 2017 beauty pageant.
Krishnan hit the headlines in November when netizens noticed a close resemblance between her and Wurtzbach. The two were able to meet in an event in January 2016.
Krishnan, a Filipina-Indian-Singaporean beauty, competed against 29 other ladies for the “Miss Manila” crown at the PICC on June 24. However, she failed to finish on top that night.
Licensed veterinarian Maria Gail Tobes, 22, of Northern Samar, won the crown.
Pia and actress Nadine Lustre were among the judges in the competition.
