Miss Philippines Catriona Gray has been announced as winner of Multimedia Challenge Event of Miss World 2016, making her part of the Top 20.
Catriona has also made it as one of the finalists of the Beauty with a Purpose (BWP). The winner of the BWP will automatically make it to the Top 10, reported Rappler.
On the Miss World Philippines official Facebook page, Catriona thanked her supporters and fans.
“First of all, thank you so much for all your support because I couldn’t have done it with you. I understand that we are on a high but I highly request everyone to STOP the bashing and hatred towards certain individuals online.
“Let us all be thankful for all the blessings we have received. We can be proud but let’s do it with HUMILITY.
“My sisters and I are having fun here and we all share a common goal which is to spread love and kindness to everyone we meet in this journey. Promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate,” Catriona reportedly wrote.
Miss World pageant will be held at the Theater at the MGM National Harbor, Maryland, USA on December 18 (December 19 in Manila), reported Rappler.
